Amnesty International LGBT Group (Toronto) works against human-rights abuses experienced by sexual minorities worldwide. Members participate in letter-writing meetings, sponsor international speakers, undertake public awareness events, speak to media and to other groups about our work, and raise funds to support our activities. AVANTI
Toronto’s social and support group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans & other queer Italians. AVANTI was started in 1996 as a social and support group. Our membership has grown to include women and men from all walks of life who look forward to our year-round schedule of activities that celebrate our Italian culture. AVANTI strives to foster a sense of goodwill and understanding of our diverse culture among its members and within the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) community — as well as the Italian community at large.
