"Madam" Lichtenstein, as she is frequently called, is descended from a long line of persons with extraordinary perceptive powers. Her great aunt, Etta Weimar, was the famous Roumanian card reader to both kings and queens.

A native of New York City, Lichtenstein was educated in Europe where she studied Tarot and Astrology. She returned and has lived in Greenwich Village ever since, eagerly dispensing advice whether requested or not. Her monthly and weekly horoscopes are carried in newspapers and websites around the world including Mexico, Canada, Great Britain and Italy. www.About.com describes her horoscopes as “... the best regular gay column. Lichtenstein is the author of the best selling astrology book, “HerScopes; A Guide to Astrology for Lesbians” (Simon & Schuster. 2000). While screen rights for the book are still available, the book continues to receive rave reviews:

Libertas.uk: OUR OPINION: Written in a dry, humorous style, reminiscent of Amy Lame, this is an entertaining and spooky book, summing us all up just a little too well. There’s lots of it too - 233 pages: somewhere around 20 full pages per sign, details of who relates romantically (and who doesn’t) and a list of famous people who share your sign and your birthday. (My birthday pal is Greta Garbo - who’s yours?) Very comprehensive, very enjoyable. Not too serious.

Blog scuttle: “So... um... yeah. I was reading this book that I got from the book club. It's called Herscopes. Yeah, horoscopes for dykes. It rocks!”

Lichtenstein has appeared as a guest on The Dr. Ruthless show on GAYBC as well as “1 in 10” radio in Boston and, in her day, had a poignant interview on Brill’s Content website www.Contentville.com. She often lectures on both Astrology and Tarot to anyone who will listen.

Her latest prediction: Madam Lichtenstein believes that one day a Lesbian will be elected President of the United States, although definitely not before 2008.
